To create a digital stage that reflected Beefeater's above-the-line advertising: a mix of modern, vivid characters set against the background of historic London. Old and new blended with the end line: Forever London.
Beefeater is all about authenticity – the only London Dry Gin still made in the city, to a recipe unchanged for over 150 years. Our task was to generate the desire to ask for Beefeater's at the bar, and captivate site visitors sufficiently that they share information nuggets about the drink while enjoying it together
With historic London as an exuberant, animated backdrop, characters from past and present tell Beefeater's rich story through an interactive timeline. An interactive map of London highlights venues offering Beefeater, while the Dan's Drinks area showcases the latest cocktail recipes from Beefeater's resident mixologist, Dan Warner
The new design and content attracted 59% more visits per day and 54% more page views per day. The dwell time on the site more than doubled, year on year. The most popular pages on the site were the most interactive ones: Dan’s Drinks and Beefeater’s London map of venues.
